The Simple Country Life - Playing in the mud :-)

I just enjoyed life yesterday afternoon. I put my work hat away and put on my mom hat and just enjoyed it.
It was raining and my 3 year old decided to play in the rain/mud hole!! Then my 15 year old and her friend decided to play in the rain.
I remember when I was a child it used to rain often. Now the rain seldom comes without a thunderstorm and lightning.
This was a simple rain. The temperature was just right. Those kids had mud from head to toe and I really enjoyed it. I was at peace watching my kids run around the yard and throw mud at each other. The mess didn't bother me. This is what real life is all about.
Take time to watch the mud fights. Too fast they grow up and turn into people like me; they grow up to WORK. The play time is over. The things that make great memories are over unless you can take the time to watch your kids play in the mud.
Play in the mud today!!
